Nigeria’s Dangote named first African Ambassador for Responsible Tourism by UN

United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO’s) Secretary-General, Zurab Pololikashvili named Aliko Dangote an Ambassador for Responsible Tourism in the framework of the 61st Regional Commission meeting for Africa, celebrated in Abuja, Nigeria recently.

“With this appointment, Dangote is added to the list of personalities named by UNWTO as Ambassadors for Responsible Tourism, whom we hope will act as messengers of our legacy and vision across the globe”, said Secretary-General Pololikashvili.

Despite all this wealth and outstanding achievements as a businessman, Aliko Dangote remains a simple, hardworking, humble and cool headed person. He is the owner of the largest industrial business in Nigeria and the whole of West Africa providing bread and butter for thousands of families with his employment opportunities. He is the richest African in the world and an inspiration for the young minds who want to succeed as entrepreneurs.
