Kylian Mbappe is Most Valuable Football Player in the World
The CIES Football Observatory, a research group within the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), an independent study centre located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, has released a list containing 50 most valuable players in World football.
According to the CIES, the parameters for forming the list after due research was majorly based on the players’ current contract lengths, age, marketability, performance among other factors.
Top on the list, is France and Paris Saint-Germain striker, Kylian Mbappe with an estimated value of £196million, while England and Tottenham striker Harry Kane, who came second on the list is valued at £180m.
The CIES Football Observatory specialises in the statistical analysis of football and was created in 2005 by Dr. Raffaele Poli and Dr. Loïc Ravenel.
