Tech and digital media enthusiasts and professionals will be thronging the landmark centre from February 4 – 8 to be a part of the 2019 Social Media Week (SMW) conference which is set to be another historic buzz around the technology business circles.
The 7th edition of the SMW which is tagged ‘The Business of New Media’ will play host to over 400 speakers, globally recognised brands, pop culture luminaries, celebrities, prominent business executives and the likes.
The SMW which is an annual event that inspires new media brands, platforms and consumers on the African continent to think outside the box for new and sustainable business models. Top notch sessions will take the fore on new innovative ways to break even in the digital media business – conversations that will heavily shape the future of digital media and journalism.
The program for the SMW Lagos fest will feature core sections; the Studio, Speakeasy and Masterclass suites, at the Meetup Lounge, and 3 Workshop spaces. Experiential programming will take place at the offline Wellness Studio, the AfricaNXT Annex and the #SMWLAGOS Beach House.
Amongst notable speakers are Ngozi Madueke-Dozie, Soji Ogundoyin, Martin Mabutho, Lasisi Elenu, Joey Akan, Collins Onuegbu, Obinna Ezekie, Afua Osei, Eva Alordiah, JJ Omojuwa, Idia Aisien, Banky W, Nedu Wazobia, Eku Edewor, Nkem Begho, Tomi Davies, Basketmouth, Odunayo Eweniyi, Folu Storms, and Bizzle Osikoya.
The 2018 conference hosted 23,364, visitors across the week and garnered an online social reach of 646.6 million. This year’s SMW Lagos’ edition is looking to exceed those numbers.
