Bill Clinton to meet with Buhari, Atiku in Nigeria

Former President of United States of America, Bill Clinton, will meet with major Nigerian Presidential candidates Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while on a visit to Nigeria a day before the presidential election.

Diplomatic sources say that Clinton might arrive in the early hours of February 15 and would return to the United States the same day.

The National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, confirmed the planned visit by Clinton to the country, saying the former ruling party had been informed.

“We are aware; we have nothing to hide. All what we want is credible, fair and acceptable elections. We also don’t want interference from anyone concerning the workings of INEC and the security agents,” he said.

Although there are other presidential hopefuls in the upcoming elections, both candidates are the front liners in the February 16 Presidential Polls.

President Buhari will vote in his home state of Katsina, Atiku will cast his vote in Adamawa state.
