AFCON 2019: Dangote, Otedola Assures Nigeria’s Super Eagles of $75,000 Per Goal

Nigeria’s Billionaire duo, Aliko Dangote and his counterpart Femi Otedola, have assured the Super Eagles playing at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-finals of a $75,000 reward for every goal scored in the encounter.

Dangote and Otedola are promising a $50,000 and a $25,000 gift respectively in the next stage of the Eagles’ football campaign in Egypt.

President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick was seen in a video posted by Osasu Obayuwana, a member of the Nigeria Football Federation’s Reforms Committee on Twitter extolling the kind gestures from the African businessmen in Cairo, Egypt on Thursday.

The Nigerian team are scheduled to lock horns with North Africans, Algeria for a place in the final of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday at the Cairo International Stadium.

The Eagles defeated South Africa 2-1 in the quarter-final on Wednesday, courtesy of goals from Samuel Chukwueze and William Troost-Ekong.

Ahead of Sunday’s clash, Dangote and Otedola have encouraged the Nigerian team with their financial contribution.

The pledges are in addition to the mouth-watering $95,000 bonus promised by the NFF for each win at the African football tournament.
