CCHub Acquires Kenyan Edtech Startup eLimu to Form Incubator’s Education Arm
eLimu has developed channels for revision and literacy that make learning enjoyable and engaging both at school and at home for children, integrating engaging content with validated pedagogies.
To date, the start-up has helped to boost learning results for more than 500,000 learners, and it will now become part of the Nigeria-based CcHub after it was acquired by iHub, CcHub ‘s owned Kenyan innovation hub after it was acquired last September.

The acquisition ‘s purpose is to turn eLimu into the company’s digital education platform arm. In order to develop immersive and engaging learning content tailored to the African context, which will be initiated using the current apps, eLimu will continue to concentrate on using cutting-edge technology. The acquisition will enable these apps to scale beyond Kenya.
“I’m thrilled to see eLimu spread its wings across Africa to make learning fun and engaging for even more children. eLimu will continue to leverage its deep knowledge of the education system to tap into the opportunity to transform learning everywhere,” said eLimu founder Nivi Sharma, who now runs the education arm of BRCK.
