Atedo Peterside Blasts FG for Treating Dangote Cement ‘specially’ over Border Closure
Notable businessman and former Chairman of Stanbic IBTC Bank, Atedo Peterside, has blasted the Federal Government of Nigeria over the decision to exempt only Dangote Cement Plc to resume land border exportation.
“Allowing legitimate exporters & importers to move their goods across the border should be a no-brainer. Why refuse everybody else & allow only one company (Dangote)? This is why some of us argue that the Nigerian economy is rigged in favour of a handful of well-connected persons,” he said.

Atedo Peterside is one of the notable Nigerians who have openly criticised the government ever since news of the exemption became public. Recall that Business Elites Africa reported that Dangote Cement’s CEO, Michel Puchercos, recently disclosed the development during the company’s recently-held earnings call.
