NDES2020 will be held as a virtual event on 12th November, with the theme: “Future of Work in Industry 4.0”. The concept of the ‘Future of Work’ concerns the nature of the jobs of the future, how we can prepare the youth in acquiring the right skills, and the role we have in shaping outcomes such that the Fourth Industrial Revolution brings increased opportunities for all.
NDES will work with both Federal and State Governments to develop the numerous resources (Entrepreneurship, Expertise, Finance , Technology and Platforms) that are essential to the growth of a robust digital economy.
In order to tap unparalleled opportunities brought on by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Nigeria will be able to harness the ingenuity and imagination of its youthful population, a vital asset for the Information Economy.
Developing Nigeria’s digital economy is a move that will create opportunities to learn new skills, broaden business scope, and create jobs. Notwithstanding the deficiencies in Nigeria’s traditional infrastructure, NDES2020 aims to leverage the vibrance of the country’s youths to grow its GDP.
The Nigeria Digital Economy Summit, in partnership with Foresight Seeds Fund and NDESWomen will launch an Accelerator Program for Purpose-Driven Female Startup Founders as part of the NDES2020 event to help discover the next 5x Women with the most thought-provoking and tech-driven solutions. The programme is supported by the Bank of Industry, Schneider Electric and TAJ Bank. An impartial panel of judges will pick the 5 finalists who will receive coaching, funding support and mentoring to help implement and scale up their start-ups.
