Magatte Wade is a Senegalese entrepreneur who has built highly successful retail brands such as Adina World Beverages, Tiossan – a skincare company and SkinisSkin which produces lip balm. All the brands that Magatte has built have one thing in common – they are all based on Senegalese recipes and ingredients. Through her brands this serial entrepreneur projects her home country Senegal and Africa as a whole.

Early Days
Magatte Wade was born in Mbour, a small fisherman village in Senegal. She was raised by her grandmother when her parents emigrated to France. In her documentary “How We Thrive”, Magatte recalls fondly how her grandmothers took care of her and empowered her with the right mindset to be a goal-getter. When Magatte moved to Europe, she started to realise that there was an awkward imbalance between the economy over there and what is obtainable in Africa. So she set out to do something about it.
