Docspert Health Raises 6-figure Seed Funding, Set to Expand its e-Health Startup across Egypt

Egyptian e-Health startup, Docspert Health, has completed a 6-figure funding round that is expected to facilitate its expansion across Egypt and much of the Middle East.

According to a press statement that was seen by Business Elites Africa, the seed funding round was led by MAC Capital Partners, Flat6Labs, and other unnamed angel investors in the United States of America and the UK. Note that Docspert Health is currently partaking in Flat6Labs Cairo’s ongoing cohort, and will make an exhibit during an demo day that has been scheduled for next month.

While commenting on the successfully seed funding, Docspert’s Chairman and Medical Director, Hisham Mehanna, said the entire team was very pleased over the development.

“We are extremely pleased to have closed this deal with a group of angel investors from Silicon Valley and London. The investors were particularly attracted not only to our innovative platform and business model, but also to our ethos of social responsibility. They were keen to help Docspert Health in its journey to provide the best medical advice to the people of the Middle East and Africa,” Mehanna said.

In the statement we saw, the Managing Director of Flat6Labs, Albert Malaty, was also quoted as saying that “Docspert’s innovative global health tech platform, alongside their strong founding team, adds up to a recipe for success. Flat6Labs Cairo is looking forward to being part of their growth journey.”

Docspert Health was incorporated in Egypt back in February 2020 by a group of medical doctors determined to provide more efficient healthcare to Egyptians and other patients across the Middle Eastern region. Its business model is all about telemedicine and basically entails the provision of healthcare by international medical experts through online means and video-conferencing; thereby removing the need for patients to travel long distances to access healthcare.
