How top African Companies are Celebrating their Female Workers on International Women’s Day

It’s another International Women’s Day and millions of people around the world are celebrating the women in their lives. Among those celebrating are African companies. And Business Elites Africa has carefully curated some of the most heart-felt wishes, as you can see below.

Family Bank Limited

In a video posted on YouTube, leading Kenyan bank, Family Bank Limited, decided to speak to two of their female customers. The customers shared their experiences as business owners, focusing on the biggest challenges they have been facing which, unsurprisingly, has to be do with inadequate access to funding.  The video also highlighted how the company is helping to address the issue. MultiChoice Group

This South African company, which is also the parent company of popular Pay-TV service provider DStv, took out time to celebrate women in general and specifically, all the women within the MultiChoice Group. In a brief message shared on Twitter, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Calvo Mawela, said the following: “During this month, we celebrate International Women’s Day by shining the light to the extra-ordinary women and the women of MultiChoice for their tremendous efforts around our continent in shaping a more equal future.”

MTN Group

Leading telecom services provider, MTN, shared a post on Twitter celebrating women everywhere. Customers of the leading telco were also encouraged to celebrate the “Queens” in their lives.

Zenith Bank Plc

Nigeria’s most profitable bank, Zenith Bank Plc, wished women a happy International Women’s Day celebration, whilst urging them to challenge the status quo.

Airtel Africa

Lastly on how top companies are celebrating this year’s International Women’s Day, Airtel made one wish – that all stereotypes against women may be broken.

The 2021 International Women’s Day is being celebrated with the theme #ChooseToChallenge. Indeed, a challenged world is an alert world. Business Elites Africa wishes all women (in Africa and across the world) a wonderful celebration. May the world become a better place for you all.
