Dangote Cement Confirms Guillaume Moyen’s Appointment as Group Chief Financial Officer

Dangote Cement Plc has announced the confirmation of Guillaume Moyen’s appointment as Group Chief Financial Officer. A statement by the company, which was seen by Business Elites Africa, said Moyen’s confirmation of appointment took effect on March 18, 2021.

Dangote Cement’s Board of Directors congratulated and wished him success in his new role.

Note that Guillaume Moyen’s journey at Dangote Cement Plc began in February 2019 when he was appointed as Group CFO in charge of Operations. One month later, he was promoted to Acting Group Chief Financial Officer. His job entails overseeing the company’s Finance and IT.

He has more than two decades’ worth of professional experience cutting across Risk Management, Internal Control, Audit, Procurement, IT, and of course Finance. Prior to his current appointment, he has had also held other key management positions in different leading multinational companies operating in such fields as Manufacturing, Engineering, Oil and Gas, Nuclear Energy, Mining and Consulting sectors. For instance, he was the Group Chief Financial Officer at OLA Energy between 2014 and 2019. Earlier on, he served as the Group CFO of Panafrican Group of Companies, VP and CFO of Areva Group, as well as Senior Financial Auditor at KPMG.

Guillaume Moyen is a Chartered Accountant, having graduated from Université de Bordeaux. In 1997, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting & Tax from the same university. He also has an MBA degree from Columbia Business School.
