Kenya Airways Plc Appoints Habil A. Waswani as new Company Secretary

Kenya Airways Plc’s Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Mr. Habil A. Waswani as the new Company Secretary, effective immediately. A statement that was signed by Chairman of the Board, Michael Joseph, as seen on the Nairobi Securities Exchange website, said the Board was pleased with the development.

Mr. Waswani has over 19 years of corporate and commercial law experience having worked in similar positions at National Bank of Kenya Limited, Kenya Reinsurance Corporation Limited, and Diamond Trust Bank Kenya Limited (DTB), all publicly listed institutions.

Habil holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree from The University of Nairobi, a Diploma in law from the Kenya School of Law and is a graduate of the Global Executive Master of Business Administration (GEMBA) Degree programme from United States International University in collaboration with the Columbia Business School, Columbia University, New York. He has also attended various professional management and corporate governance capacity building courses.

Mr. Waswani is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certifi ed Public Secretary. He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), the Institute of Certified Secretaries, Kenya (ICS) and the Institute of Directors (IOD).
