
Nigeria’s Hospitality Giant, Transcorp Hotels Appoints Bolanle Onagoruwa as Independent Non-Executive Director
Onagoruwa is the fourth woman on the board of Transcorp Hotels Plc, which was recently named the best in Nigeria for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in corporate boards and management teams.
Nigeria’s leading hospitality brand, Transcorp Hotels Plc has appointed Bolanle Onagoruwa as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
Bolanle Onagoruwa is the CEO of ENL Consortium Ltd, a specialist in infrastructure development in Nigeria and a previous acting CEO at Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company. She has also made prominent footprints in commercial legal practices which includes Bently Edu and Co, Nigerian Industrial Development Bank, Midas Merchant Bank, and the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE).
During her 12-year service with the BPE in various directorate capacities which includes Director, Oil & Gas, Director, Industry and Manufacturing, and her four-year service as Secretary Education in the Federal Capital Territory Administration before retiring as the Director-General. Onagoruwa has made significant contributions to Nigeria’s public sector reform and privatisation.
Onagoruwa also has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Lagos, a post-graduate diploma in Politics and International Relations from the University of Kent in Canterbury, and is a Harvard Business School alumni. She was an Independent Director on the board of NOVA Merchant Bank from 2017 to 2021.
The Chairman of Transcorp Hotels Plc, Emmanuel Nnorom, gave a comment on the appointment of Bolanle Onagoruwa as the Independent Non-Executive Director,
