Top 5 African Countries with the Most Internet Scammers

Most African countries have become home to many internet scammers, and most of the internet scammers are headquartered in West Africa.

As the world advances and changes quickly, these scammers have developed new tactics for committing fraud. Despite an increase in the number of internet frauds, authorities across Africa appear to be failing to curb the menace.

This has become a global problem in the last ten years, with thousands of victims losing millions of dollars each year. Because of the billion-dollar e-commerce business, people are increasingly sending money over the internet rather than paying it over. Due to this, there has been an upsurge in online fraudsters all over the world.

African scammers are experts at exploiting social media, dating websites, and apps to get Westerners looking for love online to part with cash, gifts, and personal information. Nigeria is one of the top African countries with the most internet scammers, according to Techshielder.
