A recent post from Donald Trump’s Twitter account appreciating Elon Musk has stirred up a lot of online discussions.
The conclusion of Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s $44 billion acquisition of Twitter following months of legal disputes has sparked a lot of rumours about the billionaire unbanning former President Donald Trump.
In a mission to “help humanity”, Elon Musk has promised to restore free speech while preventing the platform from being a “hellscape”.
Following the social media platform’s acquisition, Elon Musk fired Twitter’s chief executive officer, Parag Agrawal, chief financial officer Ned Segal, and director of legal affairs and policy Vijaya Gadde.
The dismissal happened after making a dramatic entrance inside the Twitter headquarters with a sink. It has been reported that the trio which backed the ban on Donald Trump on Twitter have been on Musk’s black book due to this.
In an interview with Financial Times, the billionaire said even Jack Dorsey opposes a Twitter ban that would last forever. The microblogging site’s co-founder acknowledged this and claimed that permanent bans are ineffective and a failure for the business.
Musk and Dorsey might want Donald Trump back on Twitter, but the former US President has stated he does not wish to do so. Instead, after being barred by Twitter, Facebook, and a number of other social media networks, his team developed Truth Social, he is closely linked.

Donald Trump back on Twitter?
Donald Trump’s attention-grabbing tweet read,
“Thank you, @elonmusk! Feels great to be back. Hope all the haters and losers have missed me!” read the post shared on Twitter.

Many believed that Musk had restored Donald Trump’s account after his takeover. More than 130k people have liked the post, and several others have commented on the tweet since it went live on the 28th of October.
To clarify the controversy regarding the source of Donald J. Trump’s tweet. A verified Twitter account that does parody, made the tweet as a joke. They changed their username to Donald J. Trump shared the tweet. But their bio reads, “We do a little trolling. (This is parody). Smash players”.
Donald Trump’s Twitter account still remains suspended even after a few days of Elon Musk taking over.
Two days after the Capitol Hill riots, on January 8, 2021, Twitter permanently suspended Donald Trump’s account due to the possibility of further inciting violence.
The microblogging platform announced in a blog post that it had “permanently suspended the account” after carefully examining recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and their surrounding context.
