
2023 Election: Powerful Northern States Side Tinubu, Dumps Atiku
Prior to the 2023 presidential election, Bola Tinubu, the All Progressive Congress’s (APC) presidential candidate, seems to be taking the upper hand. Recently he received the party’s guarantee that he would receive a sizable number of votes in Zamfara State.
This development was confirmed by the chieftain of APC, Senator Kabiru Marafa, who claimed that on his behalf, consultative sessions had been held with significant parties.
This will add yet another boost before the 2023 election for the APC presidential candidate, Tinubu, to have a winning edge.
This was announced by Senator Marafa on Sunday, November 20, in Gusau, the state’s capital, following the end of two consultation meetings with key stakeholders in the state.

Sensitisation proceeds for Ahmed Tinubu
According to The Nation newspaper, Senator Marafa claimed that he has held a number of meetings with various significant organisations in the state to support Tinubu’s presidential campaign.
He said: “We held meetings and sensitised different groups and organisations, including traditional and religious leaders in the state.
We also met with students, community-based organisations, farmers associations, and several other groups to sensitise them to vote for Bola Tinubu as the next president of the country.”
A push for good democracy
According to the former lawmaker, Bola Tinubu, the consultative gatherings were primarily held to promote democracy.
While the Senator makes promises to voters throughout his campaign In the meantime, the former legislator promised to create the North West Development Commission to address the issues facing the locals.
He also praised Bellow Matawalle, the current governor, for his cordial attitude and for enabling the consultative committee to be successful in its outreach efforts with significant stakeholders during the previous two weeks.
Additionally, he did not overlook how helpful all the participants were during the meetings. According to Senator Marafa, the group of individuals in the state’s campaign council are capable and knowledgeable.
Still surrounding the 2023 election, PDP has accused Tinubu strongly and fired shots in his direction.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, has once more earned the contempt of the PDP, the main opposition group.
The PDP expressed displeasure with Tinubu’s remark about the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
According to reports, Tinubu questioned Atiku’s candidacy, alleging that the latter had a public dispute with former President Olusegun Obasanjo while he was in office.
