Talented Nigerian musician and vocal powerhouse, Jemiriye Adeniji, has been bestowed with the prestigious President’s Lifetime Achievement award by the United States of America.

The “Tambele” crooner received the award in recognition of her 4,803 hours of service to the United States.

A congratulatory letter by the United States government said the artiste was recognised for her contributions to public good through selfless service and passion for providing solutions to societal problems.

“I congratulate you on taking it upon yourself to contribute to public good and I’m proud to present you with the President’s Lifetime Achievement award in recognition of your 4,803 hours of service to this great nation.

“By sharing your time and passion, you are helping discover and deliver solutions to the challenges we face -solutions we need now more than ever,” the letter read in part.

Commenting on the notable recognition, Jemiriye said her hope is that the award will serve as motivation to millions of Nigerian youth to keep digging towards their dreams.

“I’ll love the award to have a positive impact on the youths first of all, because they’re the future of any society. I hope this award encourages the youths not to give up on themselves and their dreams. They should remember they can achieve anything if they put their mind to it, stay focused, pray, and never give up.

” I hope that by getting this award, it will encourage the youths out there and show them that they do more than the stereotyped internet fraud. If I can do it, then you can, too,” Jemiriye said.

The Queen of Afropop, Jemiriye Adeniji also disclosed that the video of her hit track, ‘Tambele’, will be released December 21. Tambele, which means ‘Happiness is Free’, was released in August.
