Guy Murray-Bruce, Nigerian Media Mogul joins Henkel Nigeria’s Inaugural Advisory Council

Guy Murray-Bruce, a Nigerian business magnate has been appointed by Henkel Nigeria, an operating subsidiary of the German multinational chemical and consumer goods company Henkel AG, to its advisory council.

Murray-Bruce who has over 32 years of experience at Silverbird Group, one of Nigeria’s leading multimedia conglomerates with interests in real estate, radio, television, and cinemas,is expected to provide valuable guidance and leverage his vast managerial experience and knowledge to drive growth for the company.

Bismarck Rewane, a renowned economist, banker, and financial analyst who is the managing director and CEO of Financial Derivatives Company, a leading financial advisory firm, was also appointed to Henkel Nigeria’s inaugural advisory council.

Rajat Kapur, chairman and managing director of Henkel Nigeria, expressed his pleasure at having such distinguished Nigerians on the advisory council and is confident that their expertise will help the company make a bigger and more sustainable impact in Nigeria.

Murray-Bruce, upon his appointment said, “I am honored to join the Advisory Council of Henkel, a responsible company that I hold in high regard. Their support for youth development and the entertainment sector, which I am also a part of, makes this partnership particularly meaningful to me.”

Henkel Nigeria is committed to being a leader in supporting the government, industry, and communities with the addition of Murray-Bruce and Bismarck Rewane to its advisory council. This implementation of the advisory council marks a significant milestone for the company as it strives to become Nigeria’s leading consumer goods company.

Murray-Bruce who is a prominent figure with extensive experience in both the private and public sectors, is expected to drive performance improvement and deliver growth for Henkel Nigeria. His impressive background as a managing director and CEO positions him well to bring valuable insights and expertise to the council.

Murray-Bruce and his brother, Ben Murray-Bruce, made headlines for signing a deal with Afreximbank, an African import-export bank led by Benedict Oramah in late 2022.

The deal is set at building West Africa’s largest recorded film and TV studio, which will be located in Nigeria’s International Commerce City, Eko Atlantic City.

The sprawling 32,725-square-meter facility will include two large sound stages, editing bays with multiple suites, a digital hub with music and broadcast studios, screening rooms, production offices and a large studio backlot for outdoor sets.

This project is expected to give a huge impact on the film and television industries in Nigeria and the wider region as well as create job opportunities, improve the skills of local talent, and attract international talent, thereby driving more productions to Nigeria.
