Bola Tinubu’s Children with Oluremi: Who are they?

President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has six children in his dynasty: three of these children Olajide Tinubu (deceased), Folashade Tinubu, and Oluwaseyi Tinubu who are very popular for their political and entrepreneurial activities are from different women. The other three belong to Oluremi Tinubu, the Lagos Senator and the incoming most-elite first lady.

While Oluwaseyi and Folasade were actively involved in the political aspirations of their Father, the other three children were relatively quiet. These have left several questions on the minds of many Nigerians. Who are they? Where are they? What do they represent? You will get answers in this article. So, let’s dive in.

Zainab Abisola Tinubu

Zainab Abisola Tinubu is the first of Tinubu’s children with Oluremi. She is a graduate of Boston’s Berklee College. Reports say she acquired a deluxe condo at 55, Berry Street, Brooklyn, New York, NY 11249 for $2,150,000 in 2014.  She is also known to be a Christian. This is because Tinubu did not enforce his religion on his children. Oluremi once revealed that Tinubu allowed her to raise her children in the way of the Lord, even though they bare Muslim names. Zainab keeps a relatively low profile, unlike her siblings, Oluwaseyi and Folashade Tinubu.

Habibat Oyindamola Tinubu

Habibat is Oluremi’s second child with Tinubu. Unlike her parents, who have a special interest in politics, Habibat seems to be interested in music. She graduated from Berklee College of Music, in Boston, Massachusetts. Berklee has been described as the world’s foremost institute for the study of jazz and modern American music, which offers college-level courses in a wide range of contemporary and historic styles, including rock, flamenco, hip hop, reggae, salsa, and bluegrass.

Oyindamola started singing at age 3. Speaking during an interview she said, “I started singing at three years old and was always in my own sonic bubble. I also loved animation and soundtracks and wanted to transport myself into these different moods I was envisaging.” She further revealed that her love for Grace Jones and all the divas – Diana Ross, Mariah Carey, Missy Elliot, and Janet Jackson, inspired her music career.

Based in New York City, Oyindamola is an English singer, songwriter and record producer. She started out making soundscapes and specialises in emotive, husky, downbeat pop music. Her first two singles, “Rush of You” and “What Still Remains”, were released in 2014. Rolling Stone named her one of Lollapalooza’s “50 Must-See Acts” in 2014, calling her “R&B’s best kept secret.

Like Tinubu, Oyinda seems to be doing well for herself. She performed alongside Dev Hynes, Ian Isiah, Kelela, Kelsey Lu and 070Shake at Telfar’s AW18 NYFW show, supported Shabazz Palaces, was booked by Young Paris and collaborated with Edun and Dolce & Gabbana. The last daughter of Tinubu has plans to create a Nigerian market for her sounds.

Oyinda reportedly acquired a deluxe apartment at 255 Hudson Street, New York, NY 10013 for $2,400,000 when she was 22 years and all the transactions were paid for in cash. Oyinda, who seems to be an adventuring model is an LGBTQ activist.

Olayinka Tinubu

Olayinka Tinubu is the second surviving son of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and a stepbrother to Oluwaseyi Tinubu. He is also the only male child of Oluremi Tinubu. Tinubu and Oluremi have been intentional about keeping the details of Olayinka from the media as little is known of the boy.
