Ramadan: APC Holds Special Prayers for Tinubu and Oyetola
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Iwo Federal Constituency, Osun State, has organised a special prayer for the President-elect, Senator Bola Tinubu and the immediate past governor of the state, Gboyega Oyetola. The prayers which took place during their first annual Ramadan lecture at the Old Iso Pako Open Space in Iwo were organised by the youth wing of the party in collaboration with the forum of ward chairmen.
They used the opportunity to ask God to grant Tinubu wisdom in piloting the affairs of the country as the next president of Nigeria. Newsmen gathered that the occasion attracted a large number of dignitaries from all work of life, especially the Muslim faithful.
The guest lecturer at the event, Ustadh Omotayo Apo, hammered on the essence of thinking and speaking positively in order to attain greater success in life. He noted that positive statements like, “Emilokan,” “A maa dibo, A maa wole” made by the president-elect were backed by God for fulfilment.
APC prays for Oyetola’s victory
Members of the ruling party also prayed for Oyetola’s victory, as he awaits the Supreme Court verdict on the July 16, 2022, governorship election in the state. Oyetola approached the Supreme Court in response to the Appeal Court decision, which overturned the tribunal’s decision that initially sacked Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Also, Tinubu’s media assistant, Tunde Rahman assured party members that God would give the party victory at the Supreme Court. He further encouraged them to continually offer prayers to God for Tinubu and Oyetola in their closet.
Tinubu who will be sworn in as President on the 29th of May, 2023, is billed to continue fighting the battle of insecurity, President Muhammadu Buhari has been trying to win since his election eight years ago.
