How Davido will earn over $20 million in 2023

Renowned Nigerian Artist, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is billed to set new records in 2023 with projected earnings exceeding $20 million. Davido, who is featured on the cover of the Forbes Under 30 Africa list, rose to fame after releasing “Dami Duro”, the second single from his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo in 2012.

Widely recognized as Africa’s beat ambassador, Davido’s music has been streamed more than 2 billion times. According to projections, Davido’s earnings will increase through a combination of royalty earnings, brand partnerships, merchandise sales, and lucrative tour performances.

Davido’s brand partnerships

Celebrated as one of the most successful African artists of this era, Davido has inked endorsement deals with Pernod Ricard’s Martell Cognac, smartphone maker Infinix Mobile, and Puma. In 2022, he signed a managerial deal and partnership with the record label Love Renaissance (LVRN).

LVRN is an Atlanta-based record label and management company founded by Carlon Ramong, Justice Baiden, Junia Abaidoo, Sean Famoso McNichol, and Tunde Balogun. With Forbes’s prediction, Davido is billed to sign more brand partnerships this year.

His Timeless Album

Davido recently released his fourth studio album, Timeless. According to reports, Timeless has hit number two on Billboard’s World Album chart, after it was streamed over 133 million times with more than 43 million streams in the U.S. market alone.

The album has also garnered over 1.9 million views on Youtube which equates to $29,000. He is expected to increase his earnings as he travels the world to promote the album.

Davido’s role at Forbes Under 30 Africa Summit

The music mogul is scheduled to headline Forbes Under 30 Africa Summit in Gaborone. Davido confirmed this in an Instagram post as he appreciated Forbes. He said, “Emi n’ikan I be godfather oh! Thank you to the amazing @forbes team. Had fun doing this!” He was described by Forbes as a ‘Music Mogul’ and Afrobeats all-star pioneering the new global sound.
