As a Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Aliko Dangote has amassed an estimated net worth of $20.4 billion, making him the wealthiest person in Africa. With such a colossal fortune, it is no surprise that Dangote has invested in a range of luxurious possessions. 

From yachts to cars and private jets, Dangote’s possessions are nothing short of extravagant. This article will explore some of the most expensive things Dangote owns.

Mariya Yacht

Dangote joined the League of billionaire yacht Owners when he purchased Mariya in 2013. Built specially for Dangote, Mariya sits on the water at Carrington Crescent, Victoria Island, Lagos just next to the yacht that belongs to Dangote’s close friend and billionaire Femi Otedola. The Nigerian billionaire bought the yacht for $43 million.

The 108-foot motor yacht can accommodate eight guests who want to spend the night in its fine and well-designed four cabins including a master suite, one VIP stateroom and two twin cabins. It has a top speed of 44 knots and a normal speed of 30 knots. Dangote hosted the former World Boxing Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua in his classic yacht in 2019. Also, his friends Femi Otedola, Segun Awolowo, Charles Ahize, Aliko Dangote, Donald Duke, Tunde Ayeni and Sam Nwajoku celebrated Sallah with him on the yacht.

Bombardier’s Global Express XRS

The Nigerian business mogul bought his private aircraft named Bombardier’s Global Express XRS from Montreal Canada. The jet was delivered to Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Lagos on the commemoration of his 53rd birth anniversary. 

Dangote’s aircraft which can conveniently accommodate 8 people is usually packed at the General Aviation Terminal close to Associated Airline’s hangar. With an estimated cost of $45 million, Bombardier’s Global Express XRS is one of the most efficient aircraft in the world.

Bugatti Veyron

We can not completely list Dangote’s luxury items, without mentioning his Bugatti Veyron. Dangote’s Bugatti is one of the fastest and most prestigious cars that can speed up to 431 kilometres per hour. 

Also, The car can accelerate up to 100km/h in 2.5s. Designed by the Volkswagen Group and Bugatti, the car costs Dangote $2 million. The Nigerian Investor uses his Bugatti for most of his business trips.

Maybach 57S Knight Luxury

Another expensive item in Dangote’s car garage is his Maybach 57S Knight Luxury. Maybach 57S rides on 24-inch wheels with the same carbon-finish treatment and black powder wrapped in Pirelli tires sized 285/30R24. It also has white brake callipers that contrast the wheels nicely and an electronic level control.

Passengers in the back have a set from Apple and a trimmed leather trunk for their belongings. The car also has a 12-cylinder twin-turbo engine with 712 hp. The refined new look and enhanced technical parts make the car a good fit for the world’s richest black man. Dangote also has a Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG, a Bentley Mulsanne and a host of other cars sitting in his garage.

Dangote’s Abuja mansion

Dangote once said, “I don’t have any holiday home anywhere. I don’t have a house anywhere but I know people who are working for me…they have houses in London.” As stated, Dangote may not have houses outside Nigeria, but his Abuja home is a beauty to behold.  According to reports, Dangote’s Abuja mansion is worth $30 million. 

The exterior of the house which include the fence is painted white. The gate is painted black and stands out in a green lawn environment. The interior is reportedly furnished with a touch of Victorian beauty all over the place. One of its rooms is well furnished with easy chairs and varieties of lighting and paintings hanging against the walls. His mansion also features a beautiful kitchen, an office and bedrooms. Dangote reportedly hosts business meetings in his Abuja mansion.
