5 Places Femi Otedola Goes to Relax in Lagos 

Nigerian Billionaire, Femi Otedola is a successful entrepreneur who takes time to relax and unwind as much as he works. He once revealed that he sleeps 10 hours a day, meaning he goes to bed at about 10 pm daily and wakes up at about 8 am. 

As the founder of Gerugu Power Pls, Otedola has acquired a lot of significant fortune that allows him to choose any location in the world to relax. This was evident in the celebration of his 60th birth anniversary where he spent $3 million renting a superyacht, Christina O, owned by a Greek billionaire and shipping magnate, Aristotle Onassis. Mariya Yacht

Otedola’s friend and close business partner, Aliko Dangote acquired a Sunseeker Predator yacht, called Mariya in 2013. As friends, both billionaires have been found together on different occasions. Otedola was on board with Dangote and some other super-rich friends to celebrate Sallah. Some of the other friends include Donald Duke, Segun Awolowo, Tunde Ayeni, Niyi Adebayo and Sam Nwajoku. Pictures revealed that the billionaires treated themselves to some well-prepared chicken. 

Otedola’s Lagos mansion

Another place Otedola relaxes is his mansion on Banana Island. Although details of the mansions are sketchy, partial videos have emerged on social media of Otedola enjoying himself with his daughters. The Nigerian Oil Mogul once shared a video of himself having fun with his daughters.

In the Instagram video, Otedola was dancing to Wande Coal’s Iskaba with his daughters, Temi, Ife and Tolani, at the Cactus on the Roof. Otedola’s Ikoyi mansion reportedly has three floors, an outdoor swimming pool, a garage for Femi Otedola’s few favourite cars, including the bulletproof Mercedes G-Class, and several guest rooms.

Eko Hotels and Suites

For a successful billionaire like Otedola, relaxation could mean more than parties. It could also include a celebration of the giant strides he has recorded over the years. One such will be the award he recently received at the Convention Centre of the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. At the event, Geregu Power PLC won the Power Company of the Year Award at the Independent Awards 2022. He has also been honoured with the ‘Philanthropist of the Decade Award’ by ThisDay at the same location. Moreso, he once attended Rhythm Unplugged, a music concert organised by Rhythm 93.7FM, which was also held at Eko Convention Centre.

Lady Doja’s house

Otedola who has been described by many as mummy’s boy, because of the role she played in his marital life, also visits his mother’s house to relax. In an Instagram post, he wrote, “Spent Monday with my dear mother, she is the most important thing before I start my week! Still a Mummy’s boy … F.Ote” Also, he celebrated Lady Doja’s 90th birth anniversary mother, at Odoragunshin, Epe, Lagos. The event which began with the dedication of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church built by his mother in Odoragunshin was attended by guests like governors of Lagos and Ekiti states, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and Kayode Fayemi, amongst other bigwigs.

Terra Kulture Arena

Otedola who has an enviable bond with his children showed up with his friends when Tolani, his first daughter organised a musical showcase at Terra Kulture, Victoria Island, Lagos. At the classy event, Tolani displayed her grand entry into the showbiz world, as her velvet voice tugged at the heartstrings of the guests. If Otedola is not busy making money, he is relaxing with his children.
