
Tinubu Returns After 10-day Europe Trip
President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to the country after a 10-day trip to Europe ahead of his inauguration scheduled for the 29th of May 2023.
He was received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja by President of Senate, Ahmad Lawan, Deputy Speaker of the House, Idris Wase, Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje and a host of others.
The visit was part of his efforts to fine-tune the transition plans and programmes, and his policy options with some of his key aides.
Recall that Tinubu had on the 10th of May, left the country, just two weeks after he returned to the country from a three-country tour which saw him visiting London, Saudi Arabia and Paris.

The Kano State government has asked the general public to disregard mischievous attempts by social media and online publications in the country to lift a story from a purported phone conversation’ between Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Ibrahim Kabiru Masari which involves his political relationship with President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This was contained in a statement signed by the state commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Muhammad Garba today. Garba stated that the exaggerated publicity on the purported audio clip was the handiwork of paid agents trying to unturn the so-called ‘conversation’ with a view to causing disaffection between the two political gladiators.
He noted that “from all indications, some people who are not comfortable with the long cordiality Tinubu, Ganduje and Masari enjoy are bent on exploiting the situation to their advantage.
In the viral audio clip, Governor Ganduje was heard lamenting how he was unfairly treated by the “president-elect” for meeting with the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP Presidential candidate, Sen. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso.
The conversation was between him and Ibrahim Masari, a former placeholder vice presidential candidate of the APC. The Governor was also heard saying the calculation by Tinubu of meeting with Kwankwaso was inaccurate.
Recall that Tinubu and Kwankwaso met for four hours in France, discussing a wide range of issues.
