5 Things Ultra-Rich Nigerians Do in Dubai

With its dazzling skyline, extravagant attractions, and unparalleled luxury, Dubai has attracted the world’s wealthiest individuals seeking opulence and indulgence. Among those drawn to the city’s allure are the ultra-rich Nigerians, who spare no expense in experiencing Dubai’s lavish offerings.

From high-end shopping to exquisite dining and exclusive real estate, affluent Nigerians immerse themselves in a world of luxury during their visits.

This article provides a glimpse into their extravagant lifestyle by delving into five things that ultra-rich Nigerians often do in Dubai and the experiences they seek out. Let’s get started.

Luxurious Acquisitions

Ultra-rich Nigerians take advantage of the luxurious shopping experiences that Dubai offers. They patronise high-end fashion boutiques, designer stores, and exclusive malls like The Dubai Mall.

These Nigerians spare no expense when they purchase luxury fashion brands, high-end jewellery and accessories. For example, Nigerian actresses Chioma Akpotha, Ufuoma McDermott, Uche Jombo and Omoni Oboli, dubbed “Dubai Girls,” are known for their trips to Dubai.

Speaking about their 2022 trip, Chioma Akpotha said, “Dubai, the beautiful city of gold with modern features and luxury at its peak! The safest city I have ever been to… never had to worry about anything. When Dubai calls, I just pick up my passport and go… no need to pack a bag!”

Ultimate Luxury Desert Safaris

Visiting Dubai’s desert is one of the things that ultra-rich Nigerians engage in. In 2021, Nigerian Media Mogul, Mo Abudu shared photos and videos of her Dubai Desert experience.

Noting that she had so much fun, she wrote, “These pictures say it all, FUN. This is an experience that I will be remembering for a long time, especially as I got to share it with great friends.”

Ski Dubai

Some Ultra-rich Nigerians who love the action and adventure of some of Dubai’s most iconic attractions but have a problem with crowded spaces often chose to ski. Nigerian actress, Toyin Abraham once shared her hilarious experience at Ski Dubai.

Dressed in the same outfit as her stepdaughter, Toyin hinted that they visited the indoor ski centre of the emirate. Speaking of her experience at the centre, the actress stated that it was not easy, as she wanted to die.

Super-Yacht Cruise

Ultra-rich Nigerians are usually attracted by Dubai’s coastline and state-of-the-art marinas. This is why some of them charter private yachts for leisure and entertainment. Most of them enjoy cruising along the Arabian Gulf, hosting lavish parties onboard, and indulging in water sports and recreational activities.

A perfect example will be when Nigerian celebrity, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) was sighted on a yacht in Dubai during his vacation in 2020. Sharing a video on Instagram, RMD wrote, “Dubai sweet sha.”

Supercar tour

The burble from the exhaust of a supercar screams luxury. This is why some ultra-rich Nigerians explore Dubai’s most beautiful roads on a self-drive tour that affords them the opportunity of driving some of the world’s most exotic supercars.

DJ Cuppy, daughter of Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola, once showcased a customized pink Bentley Continental GT grand tourer. The tourer took her on a fun ride during the 2022 23rd annual Gumball 3000 ‘The Middle East’.
