Nigerian music artist David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first African musician with the highest number of followers on Instagram. Davido’s new Instagram feat has been celebrated by his fans across the globe.

The Afrobeats sensation, who has reportedly welcomed twins with his beloved wife Chioma Rowland in the United States, is currently in a jubilant and celebratory mood. 

Davido’s account has recently reached the impressive milestone of 28 million followers on the social media platform, a remarkable achievement that his contemporaries have not yet attained.

Davido’s Instagram account became the most valuable account

A few months ago, Davido’s Instagram account boasts the most valuable account in the country and stands second in Africa, following Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah, as per the Instagram Rich List published by Hopper HQ.

According to the list, Davido’s Instagram account ranks as the 61st most valuable globally, with an estimated post value of $131,000. The ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ artist enjoys a substantial following of 27.2 million on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Mo Salah, Africa’s leading figure, commands a whopping 59.8 million Instagram followers and holds the world’s 36th most valuable account, with each of his posts estimated at $275,000.
