
Tinubu entrusts the DG position of the Energy Commission of Nigeria to Mustapha
President Bola Tinubu has endorsed the selection of Abdullahi Mustapha as the Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN). This was announced in a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Media and Publicity Adviser.
He expressed the President’s expectations that the newly appointed Energy Commission of Nigeria chief will significantly contribute to the administration’s goals of diversifying Nigeria’s energy sources and promoting nationwide industrial growth.
Mustapha’s expertise across the energy sector
With over ten years of expertise gained from his position at the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Mustapha possesses significant knowledge, especially in the domains of energy and space technology.
He recently earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Renewable Energy. Subsequently, he pursued a Post-Doctoral Fellowship, working as a Research Associate in the esteemed School of Engineering at the University of Manchester, England.
