Baba Encourages Tinubu to Embrace Work Over Legal Battles

Dr. Baba Mohammed, the proponent of the National Commission for the Coordination and Control of the Proliferation of Small Arms, Ammunitions, and Light Weapons (NATCOM), has extended his heartfelt congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his recent legal victory at the Supreme Court regarding the 2023 presidential election. 

In a statement released from Abuja, Dr. Baba emphasized that the final verdict would enable President Bola Tinubu to focus on governance and the betterment of Nigeria. Election litigations, according to Dr. Baba, are a testament to the strength of Nigeria’s growing democracy, and he called upon all litigants to collaborate with President Tinubu in advancing the country’s interests.

He says, “I congratulate our indefatigable president on his victory at the Supreme Court,” the statement read. “Election litigation is a strength of our democracy, and I have strong hopes for its future.”

Dr. Baba reiterated the exceptional performance of President Tinubu during his tenure as the Governor of Lagos State in years past, expressing confidence that the same success story would be replicated on a national scale. 

He emphasized that as the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Bola Tinubu is in a prime position to provide his assent to the NATCOM Bill recently passed by the 9th National Assembly.
