Meadow Hall Foundation to Reward Teachers with N4m

Meadow Hall Foundation (MHF), a Nigerian non-governmental organisation which partners with individuals, public and private institutions to implement sustainable initiatives for teachers, students, schools, and communities, will reward its school teachers with N4,000,000 (four million naira) in the third edition of its Inspirational Educator Awards (INSEA) and Education Convention.

INSEA is a merit-based award aimed at developing the teaching profession and motivating school leaders to continue to strive for excellence in their profession. The award is open to teachers in Nigeria who teach in public or private schools (primary or secondary).

Meadow Hall Foundation’s vision is to advance the educational outcomes of the Nigerian child by enhancing teaching quality, changing mindsets about teaching and advocating for the teaching profession. To this end, the Foundation focuses on the empowerment and motivation of outstanding and inspirational teachers and school leaders who go out of their way to better the lives of the pupils in their care through the Inspirational Educator Awards (INSEA).

According to the founder, Meadow Hall Foundation, Mrs Kehinde Nwani, these awards will go a long way in rewarding the hard work of exceptional teachers and school leaders and also inspiring others to continue to strive for excellence in their teaching profession.

The inaugural awards ceremony held in 2017 when Mrs Oluremi Tanimola of Army Children Senior High School, Ikeja Military Cantonment, Ikeja, won the Inspirational School Leader of the Year Award and Miss Abiodun Odueke of Station Junior Grammar School, Ifako-Ijaiye, won the Inspirational Teacher of the Year Award.

The second edition of the awards ceremony which held in 2018, saw Mr. Olufemi Folaponmile of Aduvie International School, Abuja, winning the Inspirational School Leader of the Year Award while Mrs Kikelomo Usilo of Ifesowapo/Aboru Senior Secondary School, Lagos and Mr Olalekan Ademola Adeeko of Baptist Boys’ High School, Abeokuta, Ogun State, won the Inspirational Teacher of the Year Award.

The 2019 Inspirational School Leader of the year will receive a cash award of N2,000,000 while the Inspirational Teacher of the year will receive a cash award of N1,000,000. The two runners-up for both categories will also receive the sum of N500,000.00 each.
