Chuku’s, a Nigerian tapas restaurant situated in Tottenham, North London, and owned by the dynamic sibling team of Emeka and Ifeyinwa Frederik, finds itself among the fortunate beneficiaries. This generous contribution comes as a lifeline to the family-operated establishment, which has been grappling with the threat of closure owing to escalating energy expenses.

For opening its doors during the times of the pandemic in 2020, Chuku’s has remarkably established a loyal following and garnered support from both the local community and prominent figures, including celebrities and footballers. Their distinct interpretation of Nigerian cuisine has captivated the taste buds and hearts of those who have had the pleasure of experiencing it.

Nevertheless, the restaurant encountered notable operational hurdles, with the foremost concern being the mounting energy prices.

Amidst her Renaissance World Tour, Beyonce’s philanthropic gesture came to play when she pledged to donate $1 million (£806,000) to ten businesses located in different cities. This benevolent act was carried out through her foundation, BeyGOOD.

Chuku’s will receive a generous grant of £8,000 ($10,000) from Beyonce’s foundation, ensuring vital financial relief to sustain the thriving establishment and continue celebrating Nigerian culture in the vibrant community of Tottenham.
