5 Countries Where the Nigerian Currency is Stronger

If you’re from Nigeria and want to travel where your money can go further, there are some countries where the Naira is worth more. This means you can spend less on your trip.

Here are 5 countries where the Naira is stronger:

Vietnam

As of February 6, 2025, 1 Naira equals about 16.86 Vietnamese Dong. To visit Vietnam, you need a visa which you should get before your trip. Also, make sure your passport is good for six months after you get there and has two blank pages.

Indonesia

1 Naira is worth about 10.47 Indonesian Rupiah. This makes Indonesia a good place for budget travel. You need to get a visa before you go, and your passport should be valid for six months more than your planned stay. You also need a return ticket or something similar to show when you plan to leave Indonesia.

Uganda

In Uganda, 1 Naira is exchanged for 2.45 Ugandan Shillings. If you want to visit, you’ll need to get a visa online before you go. Once you apply and submit the needed documents, they will email you if your visa is approved. Be sure to bring your passport and your visa when you arrive.

Tanzania

Tanzania’s rate is 1 Naira for 1.71 Tanzanian Shillings, making it another affordable option. You can apply for a visa online before you leave. Once it’s approved, they will send you the visa electronically. Make sure the visa details match your passport to avoid problems on your trip.

Lebanon

1 Naira is worth 59.80 Lebanese Pounds. You need a visa to go to Lebanon, which you should get ahead of time. Your passport should also be valid for six months after your trip. You can choose to get a Visa on Arrival if you have a hotel booking and at least US$ 2,000 in cash.
