“Kesari: The King” is a Nigerian movie, directed by Ibrahim Yekini and Tope Adebayo. The film follows Kesari, a legendary deity turned notorious robber, portrayed by Yekini himself.

Despite his criminal life, Kesari uses his stolen wealth for good, acting like a supernatural Robin Hood. His gang performs daring heists with Kesari’s superpowers making him nearly invincible.

The police, initially unable to stop him, begin a relentless chase led by a determined police chief, played by Femi Adebayo. As tension rises, secrets emerge, alliances are tested, and the chase intensifies.

2. Atlas

“Atlas” is a sci-fi action movie set in the year 2043. It stars Jennifer Lopez as Atlas Shepherd, a brilliant data analyst who does not trust artificial intelligence (AI).

The story follows Atlas as she joins a mission to capture Harlan, a rogue robot leading a war against humans.

Harlan has fled to a planet in the Andromeda Galaxy and is feared to be planning a return with an army of machines.

3. Under Paris

“Under Paris” is a French horror movie about a skilled diver named Sophia Assalas. The story begins with Sophia and her husband, Chris, diving into the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

They find ten female sharks behaving oddly, including a huge shark named Lilith. Chris tries to take a sample from Lilith, causing the sharks to attack. Sophia escapes but loses Chris and their team.

Later, in Paris, Sophia is working at an aquarium. A young girl named Mika tells Sophia she knows where Lilith is.

Mika introduces Sophia to a secret group called SOS (Save Our Seas). They inform Sophia that Lilith is now in the Seine River in Paris.

Mika dives into the river and finds a car with shark teeth marks, proving that Lilith has been attacking people. The movie ends with Paris flooding and more sharks appearing quickly after their ability to breed increases.

The city is overrun by sharks, and people must protect themselves. After the credits, a map shows the shark problem spreading worldwide, suggesting a global disaster.

4. Bionic

“Bionic” is a futuristic thriller set in 2035, where bionic prosthetics have changed sports. Streaming on Netflix, the movie is about two talented long-jump athlete sisters, Maria Santos and her sister.

In this future world, athletes with bionic body parts have an advantage. Many athletes, like a boxer named Squirt, replace their limbs with bionic ones.

Squirt, after getting a bionic arm, robs a bank of diamonds, gives them to his brother, and then ends his life.

The story then focuses on Maria Santos, who dreams of competing against her sister. To do this, she enters a world of crime and violence.

5. Godzilla Minus One

“Godzilla Minus One” is a gripping Japanese film set after World War III, directed by Takashi Yamazaki. The story follows Koichi Shikishima, a kamikaze pilot who survived the war but is haunted by survivor’s guilt.

Upon returning home, he discovers his parents were killed in the bombing of Tokyo. He begins to support Noriko Oishi and an orphaned baby, Akiko, who also lost their families in the bombing.

The plot intensifies when Godzilla, a dinosaur-like creature, attacks. Shikishima, unable to shoot the monster from his plane, is knocked unconscious.

When he awakens, he finds that he and a mechanic named Tachibana are the only survivors.

In 1947, Shikishima and his minesweeper crew were assigned to stop Godzilla from reaching Japan. Despite their efforts, Godzilla regenerates from their attacks and destroys several U.S. warships before heading towards Japan.

Haunted by his past and the war’s horrors, Shikishima sets out on a personal mission to defeat Godzilla. The movie explores themes of guilt and shame, with Godzilla symbolizing national guilt.

It also introduces new elements like Godzilla’s regenerative powers and a rechargeable atomic breath.
