Early detection is crucial for successful treatment of the cancer, and regular screenings are key in catching the disease in its earliest stages.
Women should adhere to recommended guidelines for mammograms, particularly after the age of 40.
Women with a family history of breast cancer or genetic predispositions, such as BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutations, should talk to their doctors about earlier or more frequent screenings.
In addition, regular breast self-exams can help women become familiar with their bodies, enabling them to notice any changes or abnormalities early on.
While there is no surefire way to prevent cancer, adopting these five lifestyle habits completely can help significantly lower the risk.
