7 Major Projects to Be Inaugurated by President Tinubu in Kaduna State
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to visit Kaduna State today, Thursday, June 20, to inaugurate several transformative projects executed by the administration of Governor Uba Sani as part of activities marking the governor’s two years in office.
The visit, originally planned for Wednesday, was postponed following the president’s trip to Benue State, where he met with victims and stakeholders after recent deadly attacks.
President Tinubu’s visit to Kaduna state now comes at a time when the state government is keen to showcase progress in healthcare, transportation, road infrastructure, and youth empowerment.
Here are the Key Projects to Be Inaugurated by President Tinubu:
1. 300-Bed Specialist Hospital, Millennium City
A flagship healthcare project located in Millennium City, the new 300-bed Specialist Hospital is designed to boost medical services in Kaduna. It will provide modern healthcare to residents, reduce pressure on existing facilities, and support access to specialist care within the state.
2. Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development, Rigachikun
This new institute aims to equip youth and artisans with practical skills in various trades. The facility reflects the administration’s focus on reducing unemployment and strengthening Kaduna’s human capital development efforts.
3. Kafanchan Township Roads (24km)
President Tinubu will also commission 24 kilometres of newly constructed roads in Kafanchan, a major town in southern Kaduna. These roads are expected to ease mobility, enhance commerce, and improve connectivity between rural and urban areas.
4. Tudun Biri Road and Vocational Centre
Another key highlight is the Tudun Biri Road, alongside the commissioning of a Vocational and Skills Training Centre in the same community. This dual project combines infrastructure and empowerment, reflecting a holistic approach to local development.
5. 22km Kauru–Kubau Road
This strategic 22-kilometre road links Kauru and Kubau local government areas, providing improved access to markets, schools, and healthcare centres for residents in rural Kaduna.
6. Road Projects in Soba and Samaru Kataf LGAs
Additional road projects in Soba and Samaru Kataf will also be inaugurated. These projects are part of the government’s push to upgrade Kaduna’s road network and open up neglected rural areas.
7. 100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Buses
As part of efforts to modernise Kaduna’s transport system and reduce dependence on diesel and petrol, President Tinubu will unveil 100 CNG-powered buses. These buses are part of an eco-friendly mass transit initiative designed to improve public transportation across the state.
