7 Nigerian athletes who won medals at the 2024 Paralympics 

Nigeria’s athletes did an amazing job at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. They won lots of medals and even set new world records. 

Their great performance showed the world how talented they are and how strong Nigeria is in sports for athletes with disabilities.

At the Paralympic Games in Paris, Nigerian athletes showed everyone their skills and hard work. 

They trained hard and never gave up, which helped them win two gold, three silver, and two bronze medals. 

This success helped make Nigeria more famous around the world in sports for athletes with disabilities.

Here are the 7 athletes that have gotten medals at the Paris 2024 Paralympics:

1. Folashade Oluwafemiayo

 She won gold in the Women’s Over 86kg Powerlifting category, setting a new world record with a lift of 167kg.

2. Onyinyechi Mark 

Onyinyechi secured gold in the Women’s 61kg Powerlifting category with a record-breaking lift of 150kg.

3. Bose Omolayo

 Bose earned a silver medal in the Women’s Up to 79kg Powerlifting category.

4. Flora Ugwunwa

She achieved a silver in the Women’s Javelin F54 category with her remarkable performance.

5. Esther Nworgu

Esther took silver in the Women’s Up to 41kg Powerlifting category, showcasing her strength and resilience.

6. Isau Ogunkunle

Isau made history by winning a bronze in Men’s Singles Class 4 Para Table Tennis, marking a significant achievement since the Sydney 2000 Games.

7. Eniola Bolaji

Eniola captured bronze in Women’s Singles SL3 Para-Badminton, becoming the first African to win a medal at the Paralympics event.
