Air Peace Economy Flights to London Fully Booked for Next 60 Days

Air Peace has announced that all economy-class flights from Lagos to London are fully booked for the next 60 days, starting in July 2024.

Toyin Olajide, the airline’s Chief Operating Officer, revealed this development, highlighting the robust demand from Nigerian travellers since the airline inaugurated its London route.

The direct flight operations from Lagos to Gatwick Airport in London began on March 30, 2024. Olajide noted that since launching its services to European destinations, Air Peace has garnered commendations from passengers and travel agents alike.

Despite facing numerous challenges, the airline has received a positive reception from Nigerian travellers, as reported by Punch.

Olajide detailed how Air Peace is making travel more affordable for Nigerians. Many travellers from the United States to the United Kingdom choose to book Air Peace flights to Lagos, leveraging the cost-effective US-Europe flights.

This strategy allows them to save significantly compared to direct US-Nigeria flights. Additionally, Chinese citizens residing in Nigeria are using Air Peace to connect to China via London, taking advantage of the lower airfares.

“Our system initially did not advertise our first-class seats, which has now been corrected. Consequently, we recorded a very high load factor, with only 12 first-class seats and one business-class seat empty out of the 274-seat capacity aircraft,” Olajide stated. “We thank Nigerians for their support and are pleased they are happy with the airline.”

Previously, Business Elites Africa reported that Air Peace had commenced ticket sales for its highly anticipated London flights.

The airline offers economy class tickets for the Lagos-London route at N1.2 million, with business class tickets available at N4 million.
