BREAKING: Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno Dumps PDP For APC
Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has formally left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC). The announcement was made today during a ceremony at the Government House in Uyo, which drew leading APC figures from across Nigeria.
Addressing attendees, Governor Eno explained, “After completing my consultations as your elected servant, I have decided to move to the APC.” He stressed that his decision was made from a position of strength: “We are not joining the APC from a position of weakness but from a position of strength. We bring value to Akwa Ibom State, and we have come into the APC with a ministry of reconciliation.”
Among the dignitaries at the event were Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Delta Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Cross River Governor Bassey Otu, Edo Governor Monday Okpebholo, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio and his wife, Ekaette.
Governor Eno’s switch to the APC represents a major political realignment in Akwa Ibom State and is likely to reshape the state’s political dynamics as future elections approach.
