Alexander-Arnold Signs Six-Year Deal with Real Madrid

Trent Alexander-Arnold is officially a Real Madrid player as the England international has signed a six-year contract with the Spanish giants. This marked the end of an era at Liverpool and the start of a new chapter for him at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The deal, confirmed by both clubs, will see Alexander-Arnold stay in Madrid until June 2031. Real Madrid announced the transfer on Friday, stating that the 26-year-old right-back will join the club on June 1, 2025.

After over a decade at Anfield, where he rose through the youth ranks and became a fan favourite, Alexander-Arnold departs with an impressive collection of silverware. His time at Liverpool saw him lift the UEFA Champions League, two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, and several other domestic and international honours, nine major trophies in total.

His move comes as no surprise to those who have followed his career closely. A technically gifted full-back known for his vision, creativity, and pinpoint delivery, Alexander-Arnold has been widely regarded as one of the best in his position. Now, he joins a Madrid squad packed with talent and ambition.

Beyond his club achievements, Alexander-Arnold has also been a regular presence on the international stage. Since his debut for England in 2018, he has represented the Three Lions at two World Cups and the Euro 2024 tournament.

Individually, he has earned recognition on several fronts: named in the FIFA FIFPro World 11 in 2020, twice included in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season, and selected three times for the Premier League Team of the Season. He was also named the league’s Young Player of the Season in 2019/20.
