Appeal Court Confirms Death Sentence for Chief Ramon Adedoyin
The Court of Appeal in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, has confirmed the death sentence of Chief Ramon Adedoyin in connection with the death of Mr. Timothy Adegoke, a student from Obafemi Awolowo University.
Chief Adedoyin was originally convicted by an Osun State High Court and was sentenced to death. The incident involved the alleged killing of Mr. Adegoke at the Hilton hotels, which are owned by Adedoyin, on November 5th, 2021.
Justice Adepele Ojo issued the death sentence to Adedoyin along with two of his employees, Adeniyi Aderogba and Oyetunde Kazeem, specifying death by hanging as the method of execution.
The lower court had determined that Adedoyin’s choice not to testify implied his acceptance of the murder charges brought against him by the prosecution.
