BBNaija Housemates Nigerians Have Forgotten

It’s no secret that Big Brother Naija is a star-making machine. Each season, housemates become overnight celebrities, their faces plastered on timelines, billboards, and gossip blogs.

But just as quickly as they rise, many fade into the background, overshadowed by newer contestants, louder controversies, or more consistent personal branding. While a few ex-housemates have gone on to become household names, others have quietly disappeared from public memory.

Here are some BBNaija housemates who once stirred excitement in the house but are rarely talked about today. Some made headlines for love, drama, or strategy. Others just got lost in the noise. Let’s see what they’re up to now and why fans might have moved on.

Thelma (Season 4 – Pepper Dem)

Thelma was known for her sharp tongue and clashes with fellow housemates like Tacha and Omashola. Though she brought fire and energy during her time in the Pepper Dem house, her BBNaija fame didn’t last. After the show, she dabbled in acting and content creation but has since remained low-key, rarely trending or staying in the limelight.

Mike Edwards (Season 4 – Pepper Dem)

Mike was the calm, married athlete who charmed many with his class and composure. His loyalty to his wife and his gentlemanly behavior earned him second place. After BBNaija, Mike enjoyed a brief moment in the spotlight and competed in athletics, but his media presence slowly faded, especially as newer housemates stole the show.

Nelson (Season 4 – Pepper Dem)

A former Mr. Nigeria, Nelson was soft-spoken and low-profile during his BBNaija run. Despite a short-lived romantic link with Diane, he was evicted early and barely left a mark on the show’s storyline. Post-BBNaija, he’s kept his private life tight, contributing to why most fans barely recall his time in the house.

Miyonse (Season 2 – See Gobe)

Miyonse made a bit of a splash as the house chef and early love interest of TBoss. But his journey was cut short when he became the second housemate to be evicted. Since then, he’s shifted gears into food-related media, hosting cooking shows and focusing on his culinary career. Still, his BBNaija fame has largely faded from public memory.

TBoss (Season 2 – See Gobe)

TBoss was once one of the most talked-about housemates, bold, opinionated, and always in the middle of heated moments. However, despite her popularity in 2017, her fame didn’t translate into long-term stardom. She ventured into acting and influencing but hasn’t maintained the buzz that once followed her every move.

Seyi Awolowo (Season 4 and All Stars)

As a descendant of Obafemi Awolowo, Seyi entered BBNaija with weighty expectations. He was articulate and strategic but had a controversial streak. His return in the All Stars edition ended on a sour note after he made a sexist comment that sparked public outrage. Though he later apologised, the scandal may have affected his public image permanently.

Khafi & Gedoni (Season 4 – Pepper Dem)

They found love in Biggie’s house, faced criticism, and came out stronger. Khafi and Gedoni’s romance was one of the most genuine to emerge from the show. The couple eventually got married and had a baby.

But even with their love story, they’ve since taken a step back from BBNaija-related fame, choosing a quieter life focused on family and faith.

Jackie B (Season 6 – Shine Ya Eye)

Jackie B was poised, classy, and carried herself with grace during her time in the house. A single mum and a strong woman, she didn’t get much screen time or fan buzz compared to her peers. After BBNaija, she’s kept her life mostly private, making her one of the easily forgotten faces from her season.

Bryann (Season 7 – Level Up)

As a fast-rising artiste, Bryann impressed viewers with his talent and chilled attitude. He was the runner-up in his season but didn’t quite ride the momentum afterward. Though he continues to make music, his public presence has dropped, especially with newer ex-housemates dominating social media.

Ilebaye (Season 8 – All Stars Winner)

Yes, she actually won the All Stars season, but Ilebaye’s fame didn’t stick the way some past winners’ did. Despite her underdog narrative and strategic gameplay, she hasn’t stayed consistently in the headlines. Some fans even forget she won the season, which speaks volumes about how quickly the BBNaija spotlight can dim.
