Being Picked Against TG Omori Was Painful – Clarence Peters

Clarence Peters is a well-known name in Nigerian music video production, born into a family full of creativity with his mother, veteran actress Clarion Chukwuka, and his father, legendary musician Shina Peters.

Naturally, he found his way into cinematography, surrounded by the arts from a young age.

In a heartfelt interview with Chude Jideonwo on #WithChude, Clarence Peters opened up about how his family influenced his career path.

He also admitted to dealing with imposter syndrome, feeling like he wasn’t good enough despite his talents, which his mother was the first to believe in.

Clarence Peters didn’t just stick to directing music videos; he aimed higher. He founded his own company, Capital Dreams Pictures, with a vision to tell bigger and more meaningful stories through film.

He also spoke about the tough period between 2020 and 2023, describing these years as a significant but challenging time that helped him grow.

“I had to go through the fire to be able to come out where I am now,” he said. This period taught him patience and helped him see that things are not just good or bad, but more complex.

Peters appreciated the support from friends like Olamide and advice from industry veterans like Bose Ogulu and Jude Okoye during these hard times.

He also noticed how the industry has changed, shifting from making lots of videos every week to watching new, creative people come in and change the scene.

His discussion with Jideonwo was all about growth, change, and navigating through uncertain times.
