BREAKING: Nnamdi Kanu Sacks Entire Legal Team

Detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, on Thursday told the court he has dismissed his entire legal team and is ready to conduct his own defence. Following his statement, all Senior Advocates on the defence bench, led by Kanu Agabi (SAN), formally withdrew from the case.

Kanu, speaking from the dock, also challenged the court’s jurisdiction to continue his trial. His decision marks a sharp turn in a long-running case that has seen multiple adjournments, legal objections, and changes in counsel.

Minutes after Kanu announced the move, his lawyers informed the court they would no longer participate in proceedings. The court noted the development and proceeded to address next steps, including how Kanu intends to file applications and respond to the charges without counsel.
