Chowdeck Reaches N30 Billion in Deliveries for 2024 and Gains Over 1 Million Users
Chowdeck, one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing food delivery platforms, has hit a major milestone by surpassing N30 billion in deliveries this year.
This was announced by the company’s CEO and co-founder, Femi Aluko. The achievement highlights how quickly the platform is expanding and gaining influence in the Nigerian food service industry.
Aluko shared the news on social media, expressing pride in Chowdeck’s growth. He noted that the platform now has over one million registered users.
“Last week, we crossed 1 million registered users on Chowdeck. In the same week, we passed N30 billion in deliveries for 2024,” he tweeted.
Reflecting on the company’s journey, Aluko recalled how Chowdeck started with just 319 users in its first month and now has over a million as it approaches its third anniversary.
He credited the success to the hard work of the team, partners, and users. “We are thankful for the chance to build this company.
We now serve over 3,000 businesses, have 10,000+ riders, and over a million users across eight states in Nigeria,” he said. “We’ve learned a lot and are excited for what’s next. It’s just the beginning.”
Growth Backed by Key Investments
Earlier this year, Chowdeck raised $2.5 million in seed funding to boost its operations and expand. The funding, reported by Nairametrics in April, included investments from well-known backers like Y Combinator, Goodwater Capital, and FounderX Ventures.

The round also featured top figures in the tech and delivery world, including the co-founders of Latin America’s biggest delivery platform, Rappi, and the co-founders of Paystack, Shola Akinlade and Ezra Olubi.
From Small Beginnings to Industry Leader
Founded in October 2021 after the COVID-19 lockdown in Lagos, Chowdeck has grown quickly to become a key player in Nigeria’s food delivery scene.
The platform now operates in eight major cities, including Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, and Port Harcourt, with over 3,000 riders.
According to the company, its riders earn wages similar to senior government employees, showing how the platform is helping create jobs in Nigeria.
The recent funding has helped Chowdeck strengthen its presence in existing cities and prepare for expansion into new markets.
As the company continues to grow, it is positioning itself as a major force in Nigeria’s food delivery and logistics sector, with ambitious plans for the future.
With strong partnerships, solid funding, and a growing user base, Chowdeck is set to continue disrupting Nigeria’s food delivery industry.
