Cobhams Asuquo to Lead Davido’s ‘5ive Alive’ World Tour

Davido is taking his upcoming ‘5ive Alive’ world tour to another level, and he’s bringing one of Nigeria’s most respected music talents along for the ride. The superstar has just announced that Cobhams Asuquo, the award-winning producer and singer, will be the musical director for the tour.

Davido broke the news on Instagram with a video that showed just how excited he is about this new partnership. “Today’s the first time I’m hearing what Cobhams has put together, and honestly, I’m blown away,” he said. “He’s about to take this tour to crazy heights. We’re about to get to work and start rehearsals.”

Cobhams is equally excited. He called joining the tour “a dream opportunity,” and said he’s looking forward to helping create a memorable experience for Davido’s fans all over the world.

The ‘5ive Alive’ tour is set to visit almost 20 arenas across different countries, a massive milestone as Davido celebrates the success of his latest album, ‘5ive,’ which dropped on April 18. The 17-track project is full of international flavour, with features from stars like Jamaica’s 450 and Shensea, South Africa’s Musa Keys, American icons Chris Brown and Becky G, and French artists Tayc and Dadju. Of course, some of Nigeria’s finest, Victony, Odumodublvck, Chike, and Omah Lay, also lend their voices to the album.

For Davido, who shot to stardom back in 2012 with ‘Dami Duro,’ this tour is another big step in a career packed with hit records and global influence. Cobhams, despite being visually impaired, has made a huge impact in music, working with some of the biggest names in Nigeria and performing on international stages.

With these two creative powerhouses working together, fans are in for something truly special on the ‘5ive Alive’ tour: unforgettable music, incredible energy, and plenty of surprises.
