Dangote Refinery has strategically joined forces with the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) for distributing refined petroleum products in Nigeria.

Importantly, MOMAN, which encompasses seven prominent members, has finalized its enrollment with the Dangote Refinery.

Once commercial terms are set, MOMAN will launch nationwide fuel distribution, significantly impacting the industry.

Undoubtedly, this information from President Bola Tinubu’s adviser on X heralds a new era in Nigeria’s fuel distribution.

Members at the Forefront of Distribution

The members of MOMAN, poised to distribute products from the Dangote Refinery, are key players in the industry.

Notably, these include 11 Plc, Conoil Plc, Ardova Plc, MRS Oil Nigeria Plc, OVH Energy Marketing Limited, Total Nigeria Plc, and NNPC Retail.

Additionally, the refinery boasts an impressive capacity, able to load up to 2,900 trucks daily at its truck-loading gantries.

Broader Engagement with Industry Associations

The presidential aide’s post on X also reveals that the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) is in talks for loading terms with the refinery.

Additionally, the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has been engaging with the Dangote Refinery for product supply.

Recently, Business Elites Africa reported that the Dangote Petroleum Refinery started producing diesel and aviation fuel.

The multi-billion-dollar facility has received 6 million barrels of crude oil at its Single Point Moorings (SPMs), 25km offshore.

The first crude delivery to the refinery was on December 12, 2023, with the sixth cargo arriving on January 8, 2024.

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery, designed in compliance with the World Bank, US EPA, European emission norms, and Department of Petroleum Resources emission/effluent norms, embraces global standards.
