Davido Drops New Fifth Studio Album ‘5ive’  

Nigerian music star, Davido, is back with a brand-new body of work, and it’s already making waves. 

The Afrobeats heavyweight just released his fifth studio album, titled ‘5ive’, a 17-track project that blends global collaborations, emotional storytelling, and high-energy sounds that fans have come to expect from the superstar.

The rollout for ‘5ive’ was far from quiet. Before the full album dropped, Davido teased fans with a few singles, ‘Be There Still’, and ‘Funds’ featuring Odumodublvck and Chike. 

The track showcases Davido’s usual charisma, Odumodublvck’s streetwise grit, and Chike’s signature soulful delivery. He also released ‘Awuke’, a mellow yet compelling collaboration with YG Marley that added a different texture to the pre-release buzz.

But the main course is here now, and it’s packed.

‘5ive’ features an impressive guest list that cuts across genres and borders. From Chris Brown to Omah Lay, Victony, Becky G, and Shensea, the album is a melting pot of sound and culture. 

Tracks like ‘Titanium’, which features Chris Brown, dive into themes of vulnerability and emotional resilience, while ‘Offa Me’ with Victoria Monet leans into sensual longing. On ‘Nuttin Dey’, Davido gets bold, reminding the world of his staying power and self-assurance.

This album also marks a follow-up to his 2023 project, ‘Timeless’, which topped the Billboard World Albums Chart and reinforced his position as one of Africa’s biggest music exports. But ‘5ive’ feels different more experimental, more personal, yet still very much Davido.

With this release, Davido proves that he’s not just riding the wave, he’s creating it. ‘5ive’ isn’t just a number. It’s a statement.
