Do Arsenal Have What it Takes to Fight Back in Paris?

There’s no hiding now. After a narrow 1-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates, Arsenal are staring down the barrel of Champions League heartbreak, unless they can bring something extraordinary in Paris.

It was Ousmane Dembélé who silenced the home crowd just four minutes in, punishing Arsenal on the counter. From that moment, PSG controlled the rhythm, soaked up pressure, and reminded everyone why they’re still one of Europe’s most dangerous sides.

Arsenal had their chances, Martinelli, Trossard but Gianluigi Donnarumma was in inspired form, making the kind of saves that win semi-finals. But this isn’t over. Not yet.

Arteta Thinks Arsenal Can Fight Back

Mikel Arteta’s message after the game was clear: “We have to go to Paris and win the game. We are more than capable of doing it.” And he’s right.

On paper, this Arsenal side has enough to turn things around, they’ve already dismantled Real Madrid 3-0 just weeks ago. But the real question is, do they have the fight?

Because this stage of the competition demands more than tactics and talent. It demands a spark, an unshakable belief, and a kind of ruthless hunger that turns moments into miracles.

That energy was there against Madrid, fast, fearless, and electric. But against PSG, it flickered. Arsenal looked like they were playing their regular football. In a semi-final, that just won’t cut it.

PSG, on the other hand, looked like a team that wanted it more. Their players threw themselves into tackles, hunted for the second ball, and carried a sense of purpose that made the difference.

They didn’t just want to protect their lead, they wanted to bury the tie.

So can Arsenal fight back? Technically, yes. They have the players. They have the coach. They’ve shown moments of brilliance this season that suggest they can go all the way.

But moments won’t be enough in Paris. What they need is a storm, a full-throttle performance soaked in urgency, passion, and belief like the exact one they showed against Real Madrid

It’s not about form anymore. It’s about fight. And whether Arsenal can find that extra gear, that edge, that spirit, the kind that turns Champions League hopefuls into finalists.
