Elon Musk to Become First Trillionaire, Dangote Gets New Role

Tesla has unveiled a massive pay package for its CEO, Elon Musk, that could make him the first person in history to reach trillionaire status.

The company’s board has approved a performance-based plan worth $1 trillion, but Musk only gets the reward if he pushes Tesla’s market value from around $1.1 trillion today to an astonishing $8.6 trillion over the next decade.

The deal isn’t just about market size. Tesla has set 12 milestones for Musk to hit, including launching robot taxis, selling millions of its humanoid robots, and delivering at least 20 million vehicles.

He also needs to prove the company can bring in profits consistently. The payout will come in stages, with Musk receiving close to 424 million restricted shares if he delivers on each target.

If achieved, this plan would cement Musk’s place as the world’s first trillionaire. Right now, he remains the richest person alive with an estimated fortune of $386 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

That figure has been rising sharply thanks to Tesla’s stock gains and the growing valuation of his artificial intelligence startup, xAI.

Meanwhile, Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, is also making headlines. His net worth has climbed to about $28.7 billion, placing him 71st on the global rich list.

Analysts believe his fortune could hit $30 billion before the end of the year, boosted largely by his cement empire and the ongoing operations of his $20 billion refinery project in Nigeria.

The two billionaires may come from very different industries electric cars and energy on one hand, cement and oil on the other but their moves continue to shape business conversations worldwide.
