First Nigerian Citizen Going to Space, FG Announces 

The Nigerian government has revealed plans to send the first Nigerian citizen to space. This news was shared by Dr. Mathew Adepoju, the Director General of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), during a press briefing on Wednesday in Abuja.

Dr. Adepoju disclosed that the Nigerian government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Space Exploration and Research Agency. 

This collaboration will be managed by NASRDA and marks a significant step forward in Nigeria’s space exploration efforts.

“This collaboration, which is coming to the country, marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s 25th anniversary of Space Exploration journey and opens new opportunities for scientific research and technological advancement,” Dr. Adepoju stated. 

The MoU signifies Nigeria’s commitment to advancing its space program and making a mark on the global stage.

The announcement has sparked excitement and curiosity across the nation. The idea of sending a Nigerian citizen to space is not just a dream but now a tangible goal, thanks to this new partnership.
